Tornado outbreak last night report from Hamilton County Emergency Management

Here is a note from Hamilton County Emergency Management & Homeland Security Agency

Ohio experienced extreme severe weather last night (with more possible tonight in the northeast). The weather included several devastating tornadoes. The NWS in Wilmington (@NWSILN) issued more than 30 tornado warnings last night between the hours of 11:15pm-2:15am.

I have attached a copy of a press release that we sent out and am hoping that you will distribute it to your communities as well. I am also hoping that you will help us promote AlertHC which is our emergency notification tool for Hamilton County. Residents can sign up for up to 42 weather related alerts and they can also receive a phone call for tornado warnings that are issued over their registered addresses. Please direct residents via your website, social media, etc. to If you would like marketing materials, we have a package of materials available for all platforms.

I have attached:
• Press release
• A google map of the storm cells from last night
• An image that shows the number of tornado warnings last night

Severe weather happens year round and we, as a community, need to be as prepared as possible. Early warning is an important component of our preparedness. This has happened and could happen again in Hamilton County.

Please let me know if we can help you help your residents.
