Anderson Township Accepting Proposals for Property at 1357 Nagel Road

In the fall of 2018, Anderson Township facilitated a public information-gathering process regarding future uses for a 2.984 acre township-owned parcel on the west side of Nagel Road across from Pineterrace Drive.  Notice of this process included an article in township’s newsletter,  Anderson Insights, and a direct mailing to 80 nearby property owners. Information about this parcel, and the township’s planning process, was also posted on the township’s website.

In early November 2018 an open house was hosted on the property and public comment was received throughout the month of November on future options for the site.  Nearly all who provided an opinion indicated a desire for residential use of this property, particularly for smaller lot, empty-nester single family type housing. 

Based upon commentary, Anderson Township is accepting proposals for residential use/development of the property.  Interested purchasers are urged to consider the public input received thus far.  Property is currently zoned "B" Single Family Residence and potentially could be subdivided into 4-5 residential building sites through a "Minor Land Division" process.
